Pfizer Operational Excellence Associate in Andover, Massachusetts

Reporting into Operational Excellence Management, the Operational Excellence Leader will provide expertise, coaching and analysis in LEAN and Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies for continuous improvement initiatives at the site. In this role, the Operational Excellence Leader will lead cross-functional teams in executing the Method 1, 2 and 4 processes for continuous improvement from Problem Definition through Standardisation and Control (including use of our Human Performance tools).

The Operational Excellence Leader will also work with functional departments and/or product teams for the purposes of matching solutions and deployment methodologies to the business situation and develop the necessary performance measures to gauge success. They will support programs and/or project portfolios to add value for the site and progress us towards our long term vision (including project management, performance tracking and problem solving for the program).

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management/Leadership and Delivery Formal M4 projects, including development of charters, milestones and deliverables. Work closely with LEAN program lead and project coaches on project design and implementation, performance review and targets/criteria for project closure and sustainability.

  • Delivery of M2/M3 as capable.

  • Support M1 program through execution of M1 and M1 coaching (as capable)

  • Utilizing Pfizer Human Performance (PHP) methodology to address Human Error defects

Bachelor's Degree (Science / Engineering discipline) + 5 years

Training and strong demonstration of M1 skills - M1 Yellow belt or M1 Coach preferred.

Demonstration of project delivery using Six Sigma or LEAN skills and/or desire to grow six sigma and LEAN capabilities to further drive CI on site.

Self-motivated individual with a demonstrated record of developing strong work relationships in cross-functional teams with experience in a project lead/project management role.

Direct/Indirect people management and influencing skills desirable
