Pfizer Manager/Team Leader Process Safety in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Leads the team that is responsible for interpreting, recommending, and complying with process safety regulations, codes, industry practices and company requirements. Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities and processes to meet new process safety and loss control requirements. Works with Federal, State, and local agencies to facilitate solutions to complicated code and regulatory issues. Finds, evaluates, and prepares contracts for process safety contract resources. Supports and guides spill-control and other emergency response teams. Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations.

Budget responsibilities for all Pfizer Kalamazoo process safety.

Defines and implements the strategic direction for capital projects and facility changes related to process safety and loss control. Maintain relationships with site leaders, PSM Network and Global EHS personnel.

Leads the team responsible for subject matter expertise in process safety. Accountable for process safety code compliance and inspection performance. Chairs the Site Process Safety Stearing Team. 24-7 Availability for emergency consultation.

Qualifications:

Education: B.S in an appropriate discipline

Experience: 12 Years with BS; 10 Years with MS / MPH

Proficiency in all facets of process safety, loss control and emergency operations. Ability to manage a large scale emergency situation. Ability to handle unit finances and manage several contracted companies and their workers.
