Packaging Technician Assistant works in a complex integrated computerized manufacturing environment. The individual will ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with applicable safety guidelines, as well as appropriate processing standards, such as FDA's current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The technician will be required to set-up, operate, change- over, maintain, troubleshoot and make some minor repairs on complex packaging equipment. The technician will monitor, evaluate and adjust processes or packaging equipment to maximize quality and efficiency. The technician will be responsbile for completion of batch records and associated documentation. Perform all manual packaging and inspection duties as required by operating unitOperate selected packaging equipmentPerform necessary process checks including but not limited to package checks, hourly audits,etc.Monitors packaging output, checks product quality and makes adjustment to ensure equipmentis operating efficientlyPerform equipment operator functions on Line 2Perform equipment change parts room functionsPerform material and finished goods reconciliationPerform all necessary SAP/PEPS entries*Conduct label lot changeoversPerform all equipment wash and washroom related tasks
High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus either an Associates degree or six months work experience (e.g. current or previous Pfizer colleague; Mfg, Pkg or Veterans/Military relevant experience).Math and reading skills required for SOP, GMP and Batch Record comprehension. Ability to contribute to department success in a team environment and perform tasks at a productive level under demanding conditions is mandatory. Must be self-motivated and willing to learn new and changing responsibilities. Requires a demonstrated ability to direct daily activities to meet production schedule.PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:This will be a 2nd shift position with core hours from 3:00pm - 11:25pm; and a 3rd shift position with core hours 11:00pm - 7:25am Monday through Friday with overtimerequired.Considerable standing, walking, bending, reaching and lifting up to 42 pounds. Manualdexterity and good hand-eye coordination is required.*This position requires the manual inspection of products. The successful candidate must passvision tests and must be able to perform manual, repetitive-motion task
