Pfizer Senior Financial Analyst in Kalamazoo, Michigan
*Member of Kalamazoo Site Finance Team
*Support financial, cost accounting and inventory functions for the Kalamazoo Site
*Operate in the Kalamazoo SAP ERP environment
*Will interact with Kalamazoo site colleagues in Finance, Manufacturing and Support Functions.
*This colleague will also interact with the North America Center of Excellence and Global Financial Services
Applies analytical skills and principles of accounting to analyze financial information and cost system financial reports.
Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as inventory, manufacturing variance and inventory obsolescence.
Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy.
Reconciles and prepares balance sheet reports. Identifies and recommends functional improvements and system enhancements to assure appropriate recognition of financial transactions in the most efficient manner.
Responsible for the adherence to, and communication of, accounting and auditing policies and procedures. Assures appropriate SOX audit controls are in place.
May partner with off-site team members, such as shared financial service providers, to execute on mutually responsible activities.
Successful candidate is expected to have/ quickly build a good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing environment to be able to deliver the expectations of the role.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is Required, MBA/MS/CPA Preferred
A minimum of 3+ years of related work experience or MBA/MS Degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience in finance, or cost accounting
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diverse groups of individuals
Must have advanced MS Excel knowledge and hands-on experience. A solid working knowledge of MS Office tools including MS PowerPoint is also required. Experience in using SAP is a plus.
