How You Will Achieve It

The Senior Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, servicing, performing changeovers, making adjustments, assembling/disassembling, cleaning/sterilizing production related equipment in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and safety/security regulations.

  • Performs necessary machine set-up, repairs, adjustments, changeovers and preventative maintenance on production equipment.

  • Makes emergency repairs and replacement of identical parts recommending to supervisor the plan of action on equipment, including replacement, modifications and rebuilding.

  • Performs operation of production equipment with responsibility for production efficiency, utility and equipment downtime.

  • Stays current with training requirements and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), cGMPs, and batch records.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 1+ years of work experience in a mechanical, technical, electrical, or related role.

  • Must possess necessary mechanical skills to perform the required machine set-up, repairs and adjustments in order to keep equipment operating efficiently.

  • Must be able to read and write as well as follow and provide written and oral instructions.

  • Must be able to gown aseptically and retain certification regardless of the assigned area.

  • Must be able to withstand exposure to inks, solvents, heat, steam and liquids.

  • Stay current with training requirements.

  • Must be able to communicate and work well with others

  • Must demonstrate leadership skills, self-motivated, able to work independently and have a problem-solving mindset.

Nice-to-Have

  • Computer (PC) experience plus knowledge of Word, Excel is helpful.

  • Prior mechanical/refrigeration repair experience preferred.

  • Pharmaceutical production experience.

Physical/Mental Requirements

  • Vision must be correctable to 20/20.

  • Must be able to read and understand equipment drawings.

  • Requires continuous physical activity for repair, adjustment and operation of equipment.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Some production areas present exposure to heat, steam and liquids. Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team.

  • Satisfactory performance and attendance is required.

Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, or Environment Requirements

  • No travel required

  • This role is a 12-hour night shift, 6pm - 6am on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule. Must be able to work weekends as part of the rotational shift and holidays as needed.
