What will I do?
The Pfizer Consulting & Execution (PCE) Manager will be responsible for delivering and leading global and regional management consulting projects of varying complexity and scope.
The PCE Manager uses consulting and problem-solving skills, business knowledge, processes skills, change management and continuous improvement methodologies, measurements, and tools to analyze issues, drive alignment, and achieve business solutions across Pfizer's business units (BUs) and divisions. The PCE Manager is a critical partner to the project lead and sponsor of any project, providing project and program management, leadership to project teams, and thought partnership to Pfizer colleagues and leaders. Daily project management activities may include developing a project plan, conducting interviews, facilitating workshops, collecting and analyzing data, and developing and implementing solutions to key business challenges. The PCE Manager will most often work on a team of both PCE and BU colleagues, collaborating to deliver on projects per established timelines.
Typical projects include transformations, such as restructuring components of the business, developing and implementing new strategies and operating models, improving business processes and building new capabilities. Projects may be global or regional in nature and often involve multiple functions, divisions, and/or BUs.
What do I need?
The PCE Manager will need to be highly proactive, to work collaboratively within and across teams, and to have strong attention to detail, along with written, verbal and listening skills, presentation skills, facilitation skills, mental agility, and relationship-building skills.
He/She will need to have an understanding of the business and quickly learn the content while providing process and project management expertise.
He/She will need to cultivate and maintain relationships across executives and internal stakeholders within the business units and other divisions to influence and drive critical business solutions.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA degree or other advanced degree preferred
3+ years management consulting experience, internally or from a management consulting firm
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in managing projects teams, programs, or workstreams of varying levels of complexity
Experience with aligning stakeholders, facilitating conflict, and communicating information in a way that enables leaders to have transparency on the underlying issues and potential solutions in varying settings including workshops, small group sessions or one-on-one meetings
Commercial experience (sales, marketing, commercial operations, etc.) preferred
Technical Skills Requirements:
Experience with management consulting methodologies and frameworks
Experience with change management methodologies, organizational design, and business process re-engineering
Strong oral and written communications capabilities
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Fluent with technology solutions to manage projects including appropriate Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and SharePoint
Demonstrated strength in business analysis
Able to challenge and influence others in spoken and written English
Basic understanding of Finance
