The qualified candidate will join the Analytical R&;D organization and will contribute to the development of biological therapeutics. The candidate will be responsible for receipt/shipping/distribution of analytical testing samples throughout the organization as well as external partners to enable the GMP release and stability testing of clinical supplies. In addition, the candidate is expected to oversee the Chesterfield, MO raw materials program and will be required to revise/review/author raw materials specifications, set up testing/regular communications with both internal and external partners, and review and transcribe testing data.

The qualified candidate will join the Biotherapeutic Pharmaceutical Sciences Analytical R&;D organization and will be responsible for receipt/shipping/distribution of analytical testing samples to support GMP release and stability testing of clinical supplies. The individual will also be responsible for overseeing the raw materials utilized at the Chesterfield, MO site (this includes generation of testing specifications, data entry, and collaboration with contract research laboratories for testing). The colleague must work within corporate guidelines and must appropriately record, archive and report all data. The colleague must be able to interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team across multiple geographies. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and effective interpersonal, influencing and communication skills are required.

Education &; Experience

MINIMUM: BS in chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology or related field

Technical Skills Requirements

MINIMUM: The desired candidate must have the ability to follow established procedures under minimal supervision in an industrial laboratory setting. The candidate must have good interpersonal and collaborative skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and be highly motivated with the desire to continuously learn and develop.

DESIRED: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with hands-on experience in raw materials testing and sample handling (receipt and distribution of large molecule samples). Experience with Quality Systems in a GMP environment and knowledge of drug development process for progression of biological candidates is also desired.
