Role Description

Inspection of all syringes, cartridges, assemblies and components using manual or automated systems/procedures.


MATERIAL HANDLER RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Strict adherence to all batch record instructions, SOP's, cGMP's and all applicable Departmental Procedures.2.Qualify on manual and automated inspection systems. 3.Visually inspect units for defects.4.Weight checks basic units for correct fill volume.5.Maintain proper accountability records (i.e. tally sheets, label preparation, batch record information, etc.)6.Perform appropriate departmental housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, orderly and safe work environment.7.Other duties as assigned.The employee must wear all required safety equipment and perform assigned work in a safe manner. Employee must use proper lifting techniques and be conscious of hazards around them.


High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus 1 year relevant work experience or Veterans / Military experience or associate's degree in a science related discipline. Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred. All new external applicants will be required to pass an assessment test.Basic math and reading comprehension (meet minimal test requirements); minimal training/experience; unskilled work; detailed instructions.All new external applicants will be required to pass an assessment test.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust and focus. Must achieve a score of 8 or better for near vision (14") with both eyes, using the Titmus II vision tester or 20/25 on a nearpoint Snellen acuity card at 16". Acceptable visual acuity is a Snellen fraction of 20/25 or greater. They must have normal color vision by Ishihara screening.
