Informatics System Engineer (External Posting Title)
This Lead Technology Scientist I/Lead Technology Engineer I will provide data aggregation, analyses and computer system configuration support for the process monitoring and Informatics team. The candidate will play a critical role in supporting the manufacturing process monitoring program and implementing tools and systems to enable efficient and effective manufacturing process and QC assay monitoring. This position will work closely with the manufacturing informatics systems team as well as the process monitoring team, QC, Operational Excellence, and other customers. This role has several primary roles:
Collect and understand data analysis/monitoring requirements and ensure system implementation aligns with end user needs.
Perform scripting, configuration and verification to support and implement informatics systems
Use SQL or other data management applications to aggregate data, perform appropriate data and statistical analyses to support process monitoring activities, regulatory submissions, process validation activities.
Collaborate with global support groups (e.g., BT, informa core) to develop and implement continuous improvement of systems features and performance.
Collaborate with Pfizer colleagues to maintain software licenses, servers and ensure appropriate system performance
Collaborate with customers to understand system requirements
Assist with system configuration of data analysis systems at Andover which requires use of SQL code (or similar) and includes extracting, cleaning, and manipulating (e.g., stack, split, join) manufacturing and analytical data
Perform system verification testing to support data aggregation and automated statistical process control charts
Document configuration details and verification testing results
Author GMP SOPs and job aids to enable sustainable system configuration and clearly document application details to enable effective utilization by the end user
Develop database queries to support complex ad-hoc data retrieval requests from automation systems, LIMs systems, and other enterprise systems
Assist with daily monitoring and basic troubleshooting of statistical process monitoring applications
Assist with the development of new and existing multivariate models
Performing JMP scripting to maintain existing JMP applications
Solid computer skills including data extracting, querying, cleaning, manipulating (e.g., stack, split, join) and analyzing data
Knowledge of building and maintaining database queries in SQL,ODBC, OLE DB
Proficient with MS Excel including use of macros
Strong statistical data analysis skills a plus
Experience with statistical applications (such as JMP, Minitab or Statistica) a plus
Basic understanding of database architecture a plus
Familiarity with MS SharePoint a plus
Excellent communication and collaboration skills a must
Solid understanding of Biotech Drug Substance Manufacturing processes
Basic knowledge of GMPs
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical related field. BS with a minimum of 4 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. MS with a minimum of 2 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
