Pfizer Digital Forensic Analyst in Collegeville, Pennsylvania


The primary purpose for this position is to perform digital forensic services for internal company investigative partners. The key accountabilities for this position include protection, acquisition and analysis of electronic evidence. Writing concise and timely examination reports and presentation of case updates and findings in a professional, concise, confident and timely manner are also key accountabilities. The position will have other duties as assigned which include support of BT Security projects, consultations and may involve engineering solutions outside of the scope of investigative casework. The scope of responsibility for this position is global. Travel may be required and applicant must possess all valid travel documents for domestic and international travel.


The forensic examiner position requires the highest levels of integrity. Examiners are entrusted with high levels of access and will view privileged communications as well as sensitive data. The ability to protect confidential information and operate within all policies, procedures and work instructions is a must.

The responsibilities critical to the performance of this position are:

  • Familiarity with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux operating systems

  • Familiarity with computer system hardware and software installation

  • Familiarity with forensic tools and applications used to perform forensic examinations on computer systems and mobile devices

  • An understanding of chain of custody procedures and evidence handling

  • Writing concise forensic examination reports and case notes

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Maintaining confidentiality of investigation information.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and constraints

  • Ability to use creative thinking and advanced problem solving skills

  • Strong communication skills; the ability to present technical findings to non-technical clients


Candidates should be highly motivated and capable of working independently. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science or Computer Forensics.

The following skills are desirable:

  • Forensic Certifications - ENCE, GCFE, CFCE, or comparable certification

  • A+, Net+, or CISSP

  • Investigative Experience

  • Familiarity with Forensic Software tools including: AccessData's FTK Enterprise, Guidance Software's Encase Enterprise, NUIX, BlackBag's BlackLight, and Cellebrite's UFED

  • Forensically acquire data from various electronic media using industry standard software and techniques

  • Forensically analyze data using approved forensic tools and techniques


  • Extended periods of time sitting and using a computer

  • Respond to investigative requests on short notice, which may require domestic and international travel, and working during extended hours, weekends and holidays

  • Must be able to work autonomously and under direction

  • Maintaining evidence integrity and chain of custody
