Pfizer US Rare Disease Launch Brands, Senior Manager, Tafamidis CM Launch Team in Collegeville, Pennsylvania
Rare Disease North America, conceived as part of the category leadership construct, is a newly structured organization that generates nearly $1B annual in revenues. The focus of the group is to transform thousands of patients and families lives by working together collaboratively to create innovative programs that serve the patient community. This newly formed category has been developed to maximize the existing in-line portfolio in hemophilia, gaucher's disease, acromegaly and other endocrine disorders while positioning Pfizer as a rare disease category leader with an exciting and promising pipeline, including gene therapy platform, amyloidosis, sickle cell disease, and Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Pfizer recently announced that the Tafamidis Phase 3 Transthyretin Cardiomyopathy (ATTR-ACT) study evaluating tafamidis for the treatment of transthyretin cardiomyopathy met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant reduction in the combination of all-cause mortality and frequency of cardiovascular-related hospitalizations compared to placebo at 30 months.
The US Rare Disease Launch Brand Team is recently formed with a remit to prepare for several upcoming launches along with building launch capabilities across the division. With the recent news of our Phase 3 ATTR-ACT study evaluating tafamidis for the treatment of transthyretin cardiomyopathy (TTR-CM) meeting its primary endpoint, the team is quickly mobilizing to launch this exciting product to deliver for the high unmet need within the Rare Disease community. Tafamidis will represent the first Pfizer launch in Rare Diseases for the US organization.
The Senior manager role on the US Rare Disease Launch Brand Marketing Team will help drive the launch success of tafamidis cardiomyopathy in the US.
The role will play an integral part in the tafamidis cardiomyopathy launch efforts by:
Leading the development and implementation of various marketing strategies, tactics, and initiatives, ensuring all key launch initiatives are executed to support the US launch and long term brand success
Understanding customer unmet needs and proactively identify and create solutions to better meet those needs in a niche market
Developing multichannel approaches to selling including digital strategy and implementation, and media placement
Partnering effectively with Medical, Global Marketing and Commercial Development
Working closely and effectively with Review Committee partners, Marketing Operations and agency partners to create and implement promotional tools.
Managing overall budget including tracking of initiatives and quarterly closes
Driving implementation of HUB and Specialty Pharmacy strategy (in partnership with key cross-functional partners)
BS Degree Required, MBA or other advanced degree highly desirable
Launch experience highly desired but not required
Demonstrated success executing complex marketing programs
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with varied internal stakeholders to improve business performance.
Demonstrated track record of achievement and of influencing business outcomes across diverse functional boundaries.
Demonstrated ability to manage advertising and other agencies to produce communications that impact business performance
Solid business acumen and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
Strong analytical skills; detail and action oriented; creative.
Experience with product positioning and branding is not necessary but would be desirable
Ability and experience in translating science into marketing messages.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively both one-on-one and in groups.

Five or more years experience in marketing or related marketing area
Experience in Pharmaceutical Marketing
Field Sales experience desirable but not necessary
Must be able to organize multiple projects over time
Strong Presentation skills: Experience with presentations to large group using a variety of media
Agency or vendor management experience required
Role has flexibility for colleague to work out of either the New York or Collegeville office
