Hospira Aseptic Services, a Pfizer company, operates from a purpose built state of the art unit in South London, delivering complete compounding solutions to over 300 NHS and private customers.

Compounding is the process of preparing ready to administer chemotherapy and other products using aseptic technique. Our products are delivered direct to the hospital or pharmacy, which are then administered to the patient. We provide a fast response, high quality service to healthcare providers whose patients predominantly require cancer treatment.

As part of the Customer Services team, the Customer Services Assistant will work closely with the Customer Services Supervisor and operate as the first point of contact for customers. The Customer Service Assistant will be responsible for delivering an outstanding level of customer service and assist the commercial and operational teams in a variety of tasks including providing support for processing and verification of orders, invoicing, and any related activities.

The responsibilities of the Customer Services Assistant will include; but not limited to:

  • Customer SLA's met and failures reported to Customer Services Manager.

  • Handling customer calls and emails.

  • Building customer relationships

  • Data entry /verification of orders and setting up of customer records on ASCURA

  • Producing supporting documentation

  • Filing and archiving of documentation

  • Invoicing customer orders

  • Assist in set up and maintenance of customer data records on Mfg Pro.

  • Ensure that customer prices are set up and input on Mfg Pro.

  • Print reports from the relevant IT systems and reconcile to confirm all orders are invoiced accurately

  • Assisting in any activity relating to invoicing

  • Delivery monitoring

  • Follows direction set up by the relevant supervisor on a daily basis

  • Reports non-conformance issues to the relevant supervisor

  • Customer Complaints logged and reported to Quality Manager

  • Complies with Hospira and local legislation policies and procedures

The Customer Service Assistant will have the below Skills / Experience:

  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent

  • Previous experience in a Customer Service role (desirable but not necessary for the right candidate)

  • Basic Windows & Office knowledge

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a timely manner with all members of the unit

  • Ability to complete records accurately and with sufficient detail using Good Documentation Practice

  • Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers

  • Ability to understand the Customer needs and balance against the business requirements
