BRIEF JOB PROFILE DESCRIPTION:

The GL Senior Finance Associate is Responsible for ensuring General Ledger (GL) transactions are properly recorded for all countries serviced by Pfizer Global Financial Solutions Asia (GFS - ASIA). In addition, the General Ledger will play a key role in establishing the GL policy and process for GFS - ASIA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for performing the day- to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas.

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries.

  • Review significant journals submit from SL team

  • Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional areas.

  • Routine communication with Supervisors relating to financial close, issues and deliverables.

  • Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned functional areas:

  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations.

  • Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results for assigned functional areas:

  • Prepare all Financial Reporting requirements package , Timely and correctly submit finance reports to NY or relevant governmental entities according to timetable.

  • Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules.

  • Prepare foreign currency transactions analysis and its impact on financial results.

  • Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.

  • Cross train as back-ups for other staff in the case of emergencies.

  • Review GL data for compliance with Pfizer corporate policies using independent judgment to assure adherence to the policy.

  • Assist in the establishing of GL processes necessary for steady state operation

  • Contribute to team effort and assist co-workers as needed to balance workloads.

  • Help to create a work atmosphere conducive to a high degree of integrity and teamwork.

  • Maintain customer (other departments and foreign locations) satisfaction by promptly following up on customers' requests for information.

  • To develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders to maximise customer service and meet Service Level Agreements.

  • Responsible for statutory reporting if included.

  • Support on internal/external audit.

Requirements :

  • Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently, to work under pressure and to handle several projects at once

  • Ability to troubleshoot and adapt to changing needs

  • Experience in a multinational environment desirable

  • High level of self-motivation, energy and flexibility

  • Highly customer and service minded

  • SAP / Oracle experience desirable

  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Products

  • Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical thinking, and organizational skills

  • Respect for diverse cultures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree majoring in Finance, Accounting, or other related field

  • 5-8 years of accounting experience in GL, Interco, Fixed assets, international finance preferred

  • G ood English communication skills.

  • CPA or working towards a must
