Key Accountabilities: (the main results the job holder is accountable for delivering)

  • Responsible for the achievement of sales targets within the assigned territory: % Growth, % Market Share, and the timely execution of medical detailing strategy

  • Visit Healthcare professionals: Pharmacists and Physicians whenever needed to help them manage their customers, and patients' needs using Pfizer CH products.

  • Disseminate product knowledge using scientific and promotional material, clinical data related to the product, and samples to support HCPs in providing best care for patients.

  • Follow-up with HCPs (KOL, physicians, pharmacists, and all relevant stakeholders), to gather feedback and questions regarding experience with Pfizer CH products.

  • Provide approved information to HCP on PCH products, e.g. proper medical usage, dosage amounts and side effects.

  • Enlist PCH products in the formulary of institutions, private hospitals, and pharmacy chains

  • Deploy KPIs that pertain to distribution, availability and visibility and continuously track and monitor performance to ensure those KPIs are met.

  • Measure the sell-out, as well as the sell-in for the assigned territory, and continuously track stock, consumption and customer ordering processes.

  • Ensure distribution of POS materials to secure proper consumer communication

  • Provide key insights and market feedback to management on customer requests, responses to promotions and product access, and update on changes in the health care system, hospital structure and pharmacies.

  • Organizing AV activities in the area.

  • Submit monthly plan of action outlining customer visits and detail plan based on cycle plan strategy.

  • Attending regular sales meetings with the manager, general meetings, and cycle meetings.

  • Presenting reports according to the manager's recommendations and market needs.

  • Update customer list according to the targeting process by understanding customer's segmentations and customer insights

  • Understand customer needs and build superior, productive business relationships and rapport with all personnel he/she comes in contact with as a PCH representative

  • Execute key initiatives (international, regional and local) endorsed by the marketing, and medical departments to engage his/her customers

  • Monthly report for sales, activities, market feedback, threats, opportunities

Level of Responsibilities:

Tasks are performed under the general direction of the Manager; however the incumbent is fully responsible for the business and financial results of his/her geographical territory.

Responsible for Budget achievement including, % Growth, % Market Share, EV (IMS Parameters) for the area.

He/she is also responsible for maintaining the company image and is to follow and abide by company policies, procedures and S.O.P.'s at all times.

Job Specific Technical/Functional/Professional Competencies:

  • Medical or Pharmaceutical Education Background

  • Knowledge of the OTC market and environment (industry trends in both Retail and Medical field).

  • Demonstrates a sound and in-depth knowledge of the formulations, indications and contraindications of PCH's and competitive products

  • Experience on selling and promoting consumer products in OTC/pharmaceutical industry with successful sales experience (minimum 3 years) in GCC.

  • Proficient in written and speaking English and Arabic

  • Effective Selling skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrates solid computer skills and proficiency in the areas of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows XP or equivalent.
