Pfizer Medical Manager, US Wellness in Madison, New Jersey
The local/regional Medical Manager for US Wellness will implement Medical strategies in support of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare therapeutic areas of interest (Nutrition, Respiratory, Pain, Personal Care, Gastrointestinal, plus other OTC areas). Act as an essential contributor to the successful commercialization of PCH products, including KOL engagement and Ad Board facilitation, development and adaptation of claims, professional material suitable to local market, marketing and sales training, review and approval of promotional materials and product labeling, plus other activities to support product launches.
This role is the single point of contact within the US for all assigned medical activities, plus any issues or questions requiring medical input for marketed products. The Medical Manager will collaborate across functions, including Marketing, Global Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Medical Mangers in other countries and regions, plus Pfizer enabling functions (local Safety Drug Safety Unit (DSU), Legal, Quality & Compliance, Pharma Medical teams, etc.).
The Medical Manager will provide timely and accurate responses to internal and external medical inquiries about Pfizer Consumer Healthcare products.
Provide medical review and approval of promotional materials, local product labels and medical content of all materials used in the market.
Deliver scientific/product training to sales and marketing.
Establish and maintain good relationships with KOLs in the market. Represent PCH with external stakeholders such as KOL's, institutions, health organizations, professional/medical societies, etc.
Attend meetings organized by the affiliate to contribute ideas, plus and understand and address product-related medical issues and questions.
Issues management: coordinate local responses to issues in collaboration with headquarters to ensure single medical voice for Pfizer Consumer Healthcare products.
Proactively share competitive and scientific intelligence gathered from literature reviews, local industry forums in collaboration with Global Medical Affairs and aligned through the Medical Working Group.
Participate in local business development feasibility assessments.
Collaborate with regulatory in preparation of BOH submissions and BOH responses to inquiries.
BS/BA degree in Life Sciences.
Requires strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
Strong ability to review, assess, interpret, and translate scientific literature and data.
Strong background/experience in Human Nutrition.
Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Life Sciences (e.g. Nutritional Science) and Registered Dietitian preferred.
3-5 years of experience in industry preferred (e.g. Nutritionals/Dietary Supplement, Consumer Healthcare, or Pharmaceutical)
Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional colleagues including commercial, regulatory, product development, consumer insights, etc.
Good understanding of regulatory environment and awareness of relevant professional health organizations and clinical guidelines.
