Pfizer Product Supply Director in McPherson, Kansas

SUMMARY:

The Product Supply Director will provide leadership and have overall operational responsibility for the Product Supply team at the McPherson site. The Product Supply team includes planning and master scheduling for Pfizer and PC1 products, inventory management and control, MRP system ownership, industrial engineering. The Product Supply Director will be responsible for the successful implementation of SAP at the McPherson site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing a site strategic plan for product supply and customer service

  • Lead long term capacity assessments to assure appropriate capital investments supportive of long term commercial and sourcing plans.

  • Supply corrective action, crisis management and resolution for entire site supply chain

  • Active participation in internal and market S&OP processes to ensure complete alignment of supply and demand through the site supply chain

  • In collaboration with GSCPM, develop supply strategies and interfaces with suppliers to ensure consistent and reliable supply of materials

  • Ensure optimal and accurate maintenance of all master data & parameters to ensure accurate and robust supply plans are available

  • Creating annual expense budgets and successfully executing against the budget

  • Articulating, role modeling and providing leadership toward the desired culture

  • Representing the Product Supply function during regulatory audits

  • Executing HR processes (staffing, development planning, talent assessment, performance management, succession planning, discipline, recognition)

  • Driving continuous improvement in all facets of the operations (safety, quality, cost, service)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical experience preferred) or Masters degree with 7 years of pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry experience

  • Minimum of 5 years operational supply chain experience

  • Minimum of 5 years at the managerial level successfully directing and developing staff level colleagues.

  • Experience participating in audits and interacting with regulatory agencies desired

  • APICS certification desired

  • SAP experience desired

  • Effective written and oral communication skills including presentation skills
