Pfizer Director, Evidence and Access Methods in New York City, New York

ROLE SUMMARY

The Evidence and Access Methodology Director will have primary responsibility to coordinate/lead HEOR and Market Access processes improvements and standardization. The director will report to the Methods & Capability (MaC) lead. Along with the MaC lead, the director will be responsible for elevating scientific and technical capabilities to continue strengthening the PHI influence and impact internally and externally. The Evidence and Access Methodology Director will collaborate very closely with the HEOR and Market Access leads to foster a culture of collaboration, enhance best practice sharing, and continuous learning.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the MaC lead and key internal stakeholders to identify gaps in terms of process, tools, and resources

  • Coordinate/lead HEOR and Market Access processes improvements/standardization

  • Lead development of new capabilities modules to deliver enterprise-wide commitments

  • Leading by example to foster a culture of continuous learning

  • Capability building in HEOR and Market access

  • Deliver trainings to global colleagues

  • Work in collaboration with the Academy to roll out global initiatives at the local level and improve the global/local relationship

  • Leading 1 or more community of practice

  • Engage with users, stakeholders and others to ensure that needs and opportunities are understood, gather feedback, and ensure that our tools and processes are fit-for-purpose, creating clear value and are as streamlined and simple to use as possible

  • Involvement, inputs in ad hoc work streams to prepare the Patient & Health Impact division to successfully explore bold new approaches to redefine our go-to-market model

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, PharmD, ScD) or MSc/MPH in health economics, health services research, health policy, health care financing, public health or significant work experience in health economics, health services research, health policy, health care financing, public health, or market access is required; 5+ years of relevant experience strongly desired

  • Proven track record in leadership and leading change effectively

  • Able to think broadly and incorporate experiences or knowledge from other sectors into daily work and strategy-setting

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to translate scientific and technical outcomes into meaningful business impact

  • Maintains wide professional networks and established reputation within external market access
