Pfizer Director, Global M&A and Transformation, GFS in New York City, New York

Director, Global M&A and Transformation, GFS is responsible for leading the planning and execution of global GFS Shared Services initiatives, which include Corporate sponsored GFS strategic initiatives, due diligence in support of corporate strategic assessments and PFE Divestitures, Merger and Acquisitions.

The role will need to ensure that initiative business outcomes are integrated with the long term strategic objectives of the Shared Services organization.

Working in a highly matrix leadership capacity, the role will drive project governance, including the management of multiple global teams including accountability for global project budgets and impact assessment to ongoing GFS operations

  • Drives Global Divestiture, Mergers and Acquisition strategic assessments, design, implementation and oversight for the global GFS organization

  • Leads, manage and is accountable for transformation implementation results with key metrics of performance

  • Represents Global Shared Services Operations as part of acquisitions and divestitures requiring interaction with external M&A finance functional leads and F&BO leadership

  • Lead GFS Corporate Initiatives in addition to assigned Global GFS operational transformation initiatives in a multi-year effort

  • Accountable to develop GFS global recommendations to senior leadership including updates to the SSET, Finance Advisory Council, and the Finance and Business Operations Leadership Team as necessary

  • Lead the transition of work into seven shared service sites in North America, LATAM, Europe, Asia and or to a Business Process Outsourcer in India


  • Bachelors and MBA/graduate degree required - CPA desired

  • 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in the planning and execution of divestitures, mergers and acquisitions

  • 3+ years' experience leading large, complex initiatives, including enterprise wide projects with strategic business partners

  • 15 plus years finance business, shared services, or project management experience

5 - 15% travel - International travel is required
