JOB SUMMARY The Medical Information function works to become a renowned center of MI excellence and be regarded by our customers as a trusted asset for medical information and strategic insights for improving patient care. T he Associate Medical Information Manager ( A MIM) responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Customer facing (frontline) activities: P rovid e technical and medical information with high quality customer service in the corresponding local languages.

  • Secondline/TA activities: S upport the development of Therapy Area strategy ; prepar e or customiz e responses for medical inquiries ; analy ze inquiry trends to support departmental and company objectives

  • Cluster/Business Unit Relations and Partnership activities: S upport and driv e relationships with corresponding clusters and the Business Units/ Commercial/Therapeutic Teams ; s upport MI awareness activities locally and collaborat e with local business partners for product related activities .

RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Facing (Frontline) Medical Information Request Management

  • Research and respond to inquiries received via corresponding channels such as phone, email, internet or mail within the required timelines and standards.

  • Exhibit broad/general understanding and knowledge of common product information and enquiries for the local clusters/countries.

  • Document the inquiry and response accurately and completely according to relevant Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)/ Work Instruction (WI), and regulatory guidelines.

  • Identify and record, or triage to responsible designee, adverse events and product quality complaints as well as process fulfillment.

  • Provide response using approved resources.

Secondline Medical Information Content Management

  • Exhibit broad knowledge of assigned therapeutic area and a solid understanding of pertinent disease states as appropriate.

  • Create , customize , localize and maintain MI response documents as required, by ensuring that responses are medically and scientifically accurate, balanced, and meet customers' needs.

  • Ensure the alignment of response documents to local labeling and licensing for the corresponding countries.

  • Review and approves MI documents completed by others.

Cluster and Business Unit Relations and Partnerships

  • Play an active role in defining, developing and delivering annual operating plans for Hong Kong and M acau .

  • Manage awareness projects as applicable and within the strategic imperatives.

  • L iais e with the Country Medical Council and corresponding commercial teams (TA/BU).

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders where applicable to ensure MI responses are appropriately aligned within the scope of MI and Pfizer Medical.

  • Analyze inquiry data to identify trends and communicates key points to relevant stakeholders.

  • Collaborate or provide training and support activities as needed.

  • Maintain compliance with corporate and departmental trainings, SOPs and WIs.

  • Education

  • Medical Science ( i.e. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology or related fields) graduate preferred. PharmD, BS in Pharmacy, or Master strongly preferred. Degrees from other medical disciplines and or life sciences also considered.

  • Experience

  • Minimum 5 years working experience (including 1- 3 years m edical related working experience in multinational pharmaceutical industry )

  • Good medical/pharmacy/Medical Information knowledge for the defined therapeutic area.
