Pfizer Senior Supervisor, TS Filling in Rocky Mount, North Carolina
The Senior Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of direct and indirect individuals. Responsibilities include planning the effective use of labor and materials, ensuring quality/production standards are met, and leading teams on special projects associated with the assigned area of responsibility. This person will interface with other plant disciplines and support groups to insure proper coordination on directing maximum effort in resolving quality and manufacturing issues. The Sr. Production Supervisor is a management role that provides an opportunity to demonstrate supervisory talents over multiple areas of the production process and provide leadership to area supervisors. Scope of responsibility may include manufacturing, filling, inspection, packaging, assembly, storing or handling of in-process products. The senior shift supervisor may be responsible for investigating product quality concerns to determine root cause, providing corrective and preventive actions, and ensure proper actions are implemented.
Ensure that production schedules are achieved, operating within approved budgets and within labor and material standards at the lowest possible cost, meeting all necessary cGMP, Quality and Safety requirements.
Assist the business unit manager with projects, reports, and other assigned duties. In the absence of the manager, the Senior Shift Supervisor will assume the leadership role for the business unit.
Provides management direction to supervisors and production employees within the associated areas. As a leader, you will assure training and evaluate performance to maximize the efficiency of area personnel.
Evaluate the production process for efficiencies and make improvement recommendations to area management.
Meet production goals as assigned. Evaluate any potential delays in the production schedule and make recommendations to area management to resolve the issues.
Complete all documentation associated with the process. Assure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and company regulations.
BS/BA degree in a Technical or Science related field of study required.
5+ years of leadership, coaching, supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in an FDA regulated industry is preferred.
Position requires excellent leadership, documentation and multi-tasking skills.
Previous Lean Six-Sigma experience preferred.
Experience in pharmaceutical Aseptic, Sterile filling, Solutions, or Finishing operations a plus.
Must have demonstrated ability to effectively react to a variety of problems in minimum time.
Must have demonstrated ability to anticipate and resolve problems with minimum negative impact on production quality, quantity, and cost.
Must be able to exercise leadership, diplomacy, and problem solving skills when coordinating and working with all levels of employees.
Must have knowledge of computer applications.
Must have knowledge of FDA/cGMP requirements.
