Pfizer Medical Affairs Manager in Tamsui, Taiwan

1. PURPOSE OF POSITION/ROLE

Medical Manager can be a representative on behalf of affiliated Business Unit (BU) or Business Group (BG). Medical Manager is the in-house expert for the therapeutic areas to which he/she is assigned. Medical Manager plays a key role in the planning and implementation of the clinical research program in line with corporate strategies and local BU/BG needs.

2. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

This position reports directly to Medical Lead of BU or BG.

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Medical strategy

  • Responsible for clinical strategy

  • Participates in clinical projects (Protocol/synopsis, Investigator selection & Investigator meeting, Study result & Publication, Review Investigator Initiated Research (IIR)) Scientific Support of Marketing Management

  • Works with BU/BG colleagues to develop product, business strategies and programs.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with medical institutions, associations, opinion leaders, etc.

  • Supports scientific events, advisory boards and focus panels.

  • Acts as BU/BG's spokesperson for medical affairs.

  • Participates actively in the pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities

  • Risk management concerning safety issue

  • Working with relevant BU/BG, functional line, support the activities related to Risk Management Plan (RMP) preparation/ implementation

  • Builds and maintains a high level of scientific engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders

  • Fosters research by establishing strong networking with key investigators and research centres and support globally sponsored clinical studies as well as locally generated research initiatives Guardian of Compliance(e.g. Regulations, SOP, codes) in BU/BG

  • Reviews/approves Promotional materials & Media release Regulatory Affairs : co-develops registration strategy and support the implementation Access: supports Access and Outcomes Research/Real World Data team Training: provides training support to the other staffs including field force concerning scientific medical aspects Contributes to : Pfizer's external credibility and image by establishing partnerships with local professional organizations, health authorities and opinion leaders

  • Acts as a member of Medical Steering committee 4. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE § A medical degree with specialization, or appropriate experience, in the required product or disease area§ Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related business, or clearly documented experience indicating a high level of understanding of, and interest in, marketing and business in general§ Interest in a long-term career in the pharmaceutical industry§ Strong managerial skills or potential§ Excellent presentation skills§ An ability to travel extensively§ Fluency in English is required 5.
