Pfizer DA&S Sr. Solutions Analyst in Torre Lexus, Costa Rica

The DA&;S Sr. Solutions Analyst is a role within GFS Data Analytics &; Solutions group to provide standardized global analytical solutions and support system as part of continuous improvement cycles. This person will be responsible for working on process improvement opportunities through the use of available technology with newly developed solutions and/or by leveraging and/or extending existing systems.

The Solutions Analyst will have responsibility requirements gathering, analysis, solution design and architecture, testing, and implementation. As a subject matter expert in application development, this role will interface with IT organization on both the development of new solutions as well as support of current systems, applications, and databases. This role will communicate and coordinate with other groups and people across the globe and all time zones within Pfizer.

The position requires the knowledge of technical and financial systems being used across GFS and Pfizer as well as an understanding of existing business processes. This person will be proactive in this position and take initiative and ensure solutions and projects conform to the GFS strategy and are value-driven.

• Lead the development of application and analytical data solutions for all GFS functional areas.

• Translate business level requirements into effective solutions. Ensure requirements are gathered accurately and manage timelines for the scoping, development, and delivery of the final solution.

• Build, validate, and update standards and documentation for accessing and interacting with BT systems and data.

• Work to ensure solutions built are high-value. Leverage existing systems and solutions where possible.

• Ensure solutions are aligned with GFS and BT strategy.

• Lead development and deployment of solutions and applications.

• Document functional requirements, test scripts, and implementation plans.

• Work independently and with local, regional, and global groups.

• Maintain expert level technical knowledge of information systems, technology platforms, industry trends, competitive offerings, and internal Pfizer systems.

• Maintain ownership of existing applications and systems ensuring consistent and reliable high performance and data integrity.

• Work with BT to maintain the GFS systems. This includes coordinating maintenance performed by BT with the application owners and stakeholders.

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or Financial field required or equivalent business experience.

• 3-5 years' experience developing business solutions and supporting existing systems and applications.

• Ability to work with business teams to translate complex technical requirements into solutions that make business process more effective.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a focus on taking initiative and solve problems.

• Knowledgeable in RDBMSs with a focus on MSSQL: TSQL, Development, and Support abilities required. Knowledge of other database systems such as Oracle with PL/SQL, MySQL a plus.

• Strong level of understanding in the .NET environment: Visual Studio, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Windows Forms, Web Forms, MVC, Web Services, Web API, HTML, CSS, jQuery.

• Good level of understanding of systems and application support: Windows Server, Active Directory, Internet Information Services (IIS), Application Pools, Memory Management.

Role Description:

The Data Analytics & Solutions (DA&S) Reporting Analyst is a role within GFS Data Analytics & Solutions group which designs, builds, and supports standardized applications and reports to fulfill business needs or as part of continuous improvement cycles.

The person will have responsibility requirements gathering, analysis, solution design and architecture, testing, and implementation for web applications developed and supported by the DA&S team using available Microsoft technologies.

The Data Analytics & Solutions (DA&S) Reporting Analyst will have good technical, analytic, and communication skills. The role will be able to develop and support macros and applications in Microsoft (MS) Excel. This position requires the knowledge of Excel VBA programming and advanced macros, and MS Excel interaction with databases from SQL Server,

The person will have with strong client satisfaction mindset, and handling multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency. Problem solving skills and analysis skills are important traits for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and support MS Excel based applications.

• Lead the development of web applications and data analytical data reports & solutions for all GFS functional process areas.

• Translate business level requirements into effective solutions. Ensure requirements are gathered accurately and manage timelines for the scoping, development, and delivery of the final solution.

• Participate in design, development and deployment of applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience preferred.

• 3-5 years' experience in developing Microsoft Excel applications in a professional environment.

• Extensive Excel and pivot table development experience.

• High ability to meet strict project deadlines.

• Exceptional proficiency with Build Scripts, macros, Excel add-ins and mail merges.

• Ability to work with business teams and interpret existing business processes and translate into effect technical requirements.

• Familiarity with all Microsoft Office applications.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills needed to interact with business groups as well as technical delivery and support teams.

Technical Skills:
