In this role, you will be a member of the Business Analytics & Insights team for Pfizer Essential Health (PEH) Europe, acting as a strategic business partner supporting the PEH Business Unit, the role has three core areas of responsibility.

  • Act as a business partner to senior leaders and functional areas in the business

  • Strategic Consultants to the multiple stakeholder groups in the Regional Commercial Organisation

  • Lead on the roll out of innovative solutions across the region and globally

The role will be a consultative thought partner to the business, using analytical insights to challenge the status quo at the highest levels in the region and acting as a sounding board for the PEH Europe LT.

The candidate will lead on strategic projects for the region both proactively and reactively and will be charged with identifying local issues that can be solved for or scaled across the region and globally.

This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business. You will join BA colleagues worldwide that are constantly supporting business transformation through their proactive thought leadership, innovative analytical capabilities and their ability to communicate highly complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a business partner to functional areas in the business to identify business challenges and provide analytic solutions

  • Strategic Consultants and analytics subject matter experts to the Regional Commercial Organisation and including Retail, Portfolio Management, Contracts and Tenders and the Strategic Commercial Support Team

  • Development of innovative business analytic solutions for the future and lead on the roll out initially across the region advising country colleagues and also, where relevant, globally

  • Proactively provide deep analytical expertise, problem solving and insights that challenge thinking and direct focus on areas the business should focus on

  • Identify analytic strategies and lead strategic analytic projects for the business as well as direct analytics for business initiated projects.

  • Develop, commission and contract projects through effective agency and project management

  • Accountability for meeting compliance and Corporate SOP obligations of all projects

  • Manage budgets associated with assigned activities

  • Be accountable for continuous improvement and identification/utilisation of new capabilities to maximise the competitive advantages of the BU

  • Build trust and credibility by setting a high visible example of professional excellence

  • Direct workload of flexible resources

Functional and Technical Skills and Competencies:

  • Educated to degree level. MBA or advanced degree in Sciences/ Quantitative field preferred.

  • Solid experience in Business Analytics and/or Commercial roles at European Regional level.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Deep expertise in one of the 3 key analytic priorities LoE, BD, Digital

  • Strong team player, experienced with leading without authority in complex matrix and virtual environments, gained through exposure to international, multi-cultural and virtual teams.

  • Proven ability to connect, integrate and distil analysis and data into a meaningful 'so what' to drive concrete strategic recommendations and directly impact commercial decision making. Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business question.

  • Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and deal with ambiguity.

  • Analytical Thinker: Understands how to synthesize facts and information from varied data sources

  • Strong Data and Information Manager: Understands and uses analytical skills/tools to produce data in a clean, organized way to drive objective insights

  • Exceptional Communicator: Can understand, translate, and distill the complex, technical findings of the team into commentary that facilitates effective decision making by senior leaders; can readily align interpersonal style with the individual needs of customers

  • Relationship Manager: Acts as a thought partner and brings forward recommendations/questions that influences stakeholders; builds robust and long-term strategic relationships with individuals from all levels of the organization, understanding individual goals and objectives to ensure future alignment of the entire portfolio
